Yori Kamphuis is a passionate and popular speaker in the field of innovation, security and technology & society. According to Vrij Nederland, Yori is one out of 101 people who will make a difference in the 21st century and in 2013 he was named Futurist of the year.
Yori is also advisor of Neelie Kroes’ StartupDelta and he is one of the World Economic Forum Global Shapers in Amsterdam.
Yori Kamphuis founded the company Storro, a blockchain application that allows you to share and store information in the most secure way. And during his studies, Yori founded Coblue Cybersecurity together with two fellow students. Coblue helps companies to improve their security through software and awareness. In 2012 the Kairos Society elected Coblue as one of the fifty most innovative university startups worldwide and Neelie Kroes wrote about Yori on her blog.
Yori studied industrial engineering at the Twente University followed by a master in Geopolitics, Territory & Security at Kings’s College London. Thereafter he obtained a scholarship for the Singularity University in Sillicon Valley where he studied Exponential Technologies. In 2012, he became an Associate of King’s College in London after completing classes in Theology and Ethics.
Yori has won several business contests one of which is the NATO Cyber Defence and the StrICTly for Business competetition. In September 2013, Yori was named Futurist of the Year during the Trendwatcher of the Year event.
